Cornwall’s young people are helping shape our new hospital

Posted on:

We have established a new Young Persons’ Patient Council, which had its first meeting in November.  The key motivator for those who came along was their desire to make a difference – from shaping the future of health services for children and adolescents coming to hospital, to giving their thoughts on what could be included in the design of the new Women and Children’s Hospital. Young patients present and past, relatives of young patients, and anyone who’s interested in healthcare were invited, and more are welcome to join.

If you’re aged between 10 and 25 years old, or know anyone who is, and would like to come along to the next meeting in Truro in January, email us for more information: rcht.adolescent.team@nhs.net.  Refreshments are provided and travel costs can be covered.
